Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announces new version of the gaming classic Gran Turismo®: Three of the latest AMG vehicles celebrate their digital premiere in Gran Turismo® 6

With the combined power of more than 1400 hp, Mercedes-Benz is taking to the starting grid of Gran Turismo® 6 with three of its latest models. All set to provide pure excitement and fascination in the new version of the gaming classic for the PlayStation®3 are three high-performance vehicles from AMG: the SLS AMG GT3 producing over 367 kW (more than 500 hp), the E 63 AMG producing 410 kW (557 hp) and the A 45 AMG producing 265 kW (360 hp). In addition to the three new vehicles, no fewer than 21 further vehicles from Mercedes-Benz which featured in Gran Turismo® 5 will also be taking to the track to set the pulses of gaming fans racing.

It makes no sense to think that, when your major opponents are orienting their forthcoming fleet of models towards the stringent needs of the overcrowded city of the future, you sit relaxed and watch the show. If you once believed you will not see any Merc model smaller than the A-Class, you should give it a second thought.A while ago, we were reporting on the odds Mercedes-Benz launches the X-Class towards 2018 (see HERE), a niche offering destined for city mobility, in two distinct variants: a crossover with SUV aura based on the looks of the A-Class, but with specific styling, and a four-meter van.Now, it appears Mercedes-Benz will also release a three-door city car in four to five years from this moment. Currently in the early phases of development, the mini A-Class will be engineered on a new technical, front-driven platform to also underpin the future Renault Twingo.

Paddy Lowe to join MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS on 3 June

Agreement has been reached between MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS and Vodafone McLaren Mercedes for Paddy Lowe to join the team on 3 June.Paddy will strengthen MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS in the role of Executive Director (Technical) and will work closely with Team Principal, Ross Brawn; Executive Director (Business), Toto Wolff; and the team’s senior technical management.

The 205 generation C-Class enters the scene next year during spring following the official premiere scheduled for NAIAS Detroit 2014. Planned to be manfuactured in an integrated production network consisting of the Bremen plant (Germany), Tuscaloosa (Alabama), East London (South Africa) and Beijing (China), the new Mercedes-Benz mid-sized premium models will substantially grow in size, in addition to weighing less and offering more in terms of efficiency, driving pleasure and automotive intelligence.The introduction of the CLA just beneath the current C-Class series is determining a substantial upscale movement of the next generation of the mid-sized portfolio of models. The Limousine (W 205) will be unveiled in January next year at Detroit and will be followed in the course of the year by three new models: the wagon T-Modell (S 205) in spring, the C-Coupe (C 205) during summer and the C-Cabrio (A 205) in autumn.

Google I/O is an annual developer conference featuring highly technical, in-depth sessions, and showcasing the latest from Google’s product teams and partners. This year’s conference, which has taken place annually since 2008, will showcase Mercedes-Benz and its latest integration of Google services in the car. In one of its SL models, Mercedes-Benz will be demonstrating the Drive Kit Plus, a system which in combination with a smartphone and a special app enables the seamless integration of the smartphone into the vehicle’s infotainment architecture.

"The Taste of Luxury": Mercedes-Benz opens "Ten Star Restaurant" for one night only

The stars were out in force at the Airbus facility in Hamburg-Finkenwerder for yesterday’s world premiere of the new S-Class when for one night only Mercedes-Benz opened a globally unique “Ten Star Restaurant” in the Airbus A380 delivery centre. Five German star-rated chefs specialising in different culinary styles were on hand to indulge the approximately 750 international guests from the worlds of politics, industry and media with a variety of culinary specialities. The gourmet creations were served up at several live cooking stations by chefs Juan Amador, Douce Steiner, Tim Raue, Matthias Schmidt and Wahabi Nouri, and formed the crowning touch to the evening’s ‘flying menu’

Mercedes-Benz raises April 2013 sales by 11.7% to a new record high
